About The Event
Struggling with executive function (EF) skills is a common part of the human experience. When challenging behaviors arise at school or at home, they may signal a mismatch between what is expected of a child and what their current EF skills enable them to do. For many children, bridging the gap between “knowing better” and “doing better” can be difficult—and may indicate a need for additional support in developing these critical skills. Join us to explore practical strategies parents and caregivers can use to partner with teachers, support EF development at home and school, and help children thrive.
Guest speaker Laurel Black is the Director of Executive Function Coaching and Educational Therapy at the Research Institute for Learning and Development. Families and caregivers welcome!
